She's done everything right. She streams a tonne, her content is good, she dishes out a tonne of singles and covers, has great stage presence in lives and does creative streams. Generally speaking, you have better chances of succeeding as a vtuber if you have one thing you really excel at rather than doing good in multiple aspects but not mastering any of them. Bae is the latter type and that's what's keeping her down. The worst thing is that it's really hard to cahnge that as a vtuber since first of all your current fans usually like that about you and you don't want to betray their expectations and second of all, mastering an aspect of yours is a lot of commitment in terms of time and mindspace and whatnot, and even if you do reach the highest levels, the chance that nobody cares is still pretty high. Not really, there are too many other fes performers just within Hololive to make her really stand out, and those events are few and far between. Even if she were to appear in all the upcoming birthday/anniversary lives, she'd always just play the second fiddle to the talent of honor. If live performance is the angle she could use to proper herself to the top, it'd have to be something like the Hoshimatic Project but way more competitive and longer, where she demands attention with her skills and somehow comes out on top.

As someone who started watching holo w/ advent I always liked her model but intially had a somewhat negative impression of her because she felt uptight (and at the time her streams were really late, she was in Japan maybe?). The more of her projects I saw though the more my opinion changed for the positive.
