the chats of any English streamers are filled with insufferable Redditards and mongoloids, and many times the chats are displayed on-stream so I can't even fullscreen and ignore it. I'm glad that English V-Tubers rose in popularity because it vacuumed a large amount of EOP chimps from the JP chats. But whenever there's a large event like a new model or announcement, the EOP clip watchers pour in with their 12-year-old comments, disregarding the chat rules and common sense. English streamer/Reddit/Twitch culture is adulterating the nice little communities that JP streams once had. It makes me SEETHE.

Why not?

But to answer your question
>I watch Hololive JP ID Gura/Ina and Holostars
>literally all of them (except EN where it's just 2 of them)
>JP - learn languages, cultural refrences in Japan, and what Japanese girls generally have going on in their heads and interacting
>ID - same as above but of indonesians
>EN - purely entertainment (rare, Chammers and ID offer this as well)
>Stars - entertainment and to learn how JP men interact with each other and with women in an acceptable manner

It's a great insight in JP culture that isn't always some caricature of the reality on the ground. Then occasionally I'll watch NijiJP (extremely rare, as in like twice unless it's collabs with Holos which I don't count). I'm warmed to the idea though, and I use it to compare for a more "candid" interaction.

Also I feel like you get more of a "Hololive" experience out of all the branches except for EN, although Gura and Ina provide that pretty well (and admittedly probably Amelia but I don't like her dice or chicken, they just put me off and that's even with politics creep notwithstanding).

Hope that helps.

Easy answer, I am a Spanish guy that works in the morning, watching most of the USA primetime streams is impossible, and Calli and Kiara stream usually overlap with other chuubas that I've been watching for like 2 years, I watch Ina tho, her stream times are good most of the time

I listen to vtubers whose voices sound pleasant to me, and there are much more in JP than EN. I guess it helps I don't understand them since e.g. veibae has a good sounding voice but the stuff she says filters me.

Sometimes, I liked Artia before the issues with Coco and ChimCham saying Taiwan on stream. The way she and the others handled it was pretty bad. They thought playing both sides was the way to work things out, and then spreading their "insider info" with Changs would be good too.

That specifically was hard to watch, but regardless I still liked them when I watched them. Kinda sad that people don't understand what Artia was going through and give her some leniency for it, especially when they've both said their problems stemmed from management and investor influence instead of corporate.

But yeah they were alright, although I dislike the CCP. I still hope her and Coco do well in their new gigs.

I don't expect intellectual savants in JP chat, but at the very least their messages are wholesome or contain trace amounts of cultural intelligence. I'm sure the JP streamers would much prefer the understandable adoration of JP viewers as opposed to the nonsense that westerners spew. I'm sure there are community members that learn japanese and leave sensible messages, but a grand majority of EOPs either spam "kusa" or "yabai/yabe" even when there is no context that warrants it. If they aren't spamming the two words they know from watching clips, they are off typing entire sentences in english that will just get ignored, or they'll type shit that is of a complete different culture like "let's gooo", "pog", "yooo". This is not only foreign to most JP streamers and chat members as they are of a an entirely different internet culture, but many YT streamers have chat rules that explicitly explain that chat is not meant for viewers to converse with each other, it's solely meant to directly interact with the streamer. I can only imagine that it's a lack of knowing the streamer's chat rules, lack of awareness of the cultural barrier, and generally failing to comprehend that JP doesn't share cultures and references with English memes, Reddit, Twitch, and western culture as a whole. The main point is that JP streamers can at least understand the nonsense that other JP viewers spew because they share a language and similar understanding of internet culture. Seeing some EOP type shit in english, like "pog", makes me wince every time. English references in an otherwise JP chat stick out in a painfully obvious way. It's like some social outcast trying to force themselves into some random social group and he won't shut the fuck up.

Because i'd watched streamers for a while and was extremely bored with them.
Hololive's JP branch treat streams more like (semi)professional broadcasts, in formatting presentation and streaming performance, while still having it a personal experience between them and their audience. Some of them legitimately are radio hosts.
Pretty much none of EN (all EN vtubers i mean) and only a few ID are at that level.

There's a hell of a lot more to it, like preference for individual vtubers and personal attachment, because we've been through a lot, them being really good at playing out irl anime clips because of tsukkomi training, etc. but that's the main reason i want to point out

try reading the whole thing instead of parsing for bad greentext comebacks like you see in r/4chan.

Or if you need smaller words count and simple sentences:

I think Artia and HoloCN handled the situation with Coco and Chammers poorly. I still think the reaction from over-emtional cunts (like yourself) was unwarranted. Usually because you're low-int and either nu/pol/ or reddit. Same issue on /biz/.

On one hand, CN fucked up. On the other, they're literally Chinese citizens, and Cover fucked up too. Give them all a break. I also miss Artia's streams. She was pretty cool.

I miss when 4chan had more people who read instead of parsing.

I learned enough Japanese that I can understand the majority of solo streams (and collabs when they aren't screaming over each other). I've checked out all of the holos by now and my favorite happened to be JP. I'll occasionally watch EN when I can catch them live (mostly Gura and Ame) and they are doing something interesting. But mostly it's just that I have a few HoloJP streamers that are my favorite and there's only a few HoloEN to compete with that.

>> No.7116623

>>7116140
I know about the situation. I'm telling you that they were (and are) stuck between abeyance of Chi-com nationalism "secretly" or abandoning Communist China (which is where they're from and who they are). If you can't understand how that would be a hard choice to make for them, despite there being an obvious good one for you and me, I don't know what to tell you dude.

It's like Serpentreza and his buddies - on one hand, the people they interact with are great and the content is pretty okey. On the other, once the Party gets involved everyone has to cover their ass.

It's kind of like asking a zionist vtuber (god forbid one exists) shit about Palestine with their coworkers in UAE or Pakistan, and the company exists in Saudi Arabia. Again, you and I might have a "right answer" about this. They're still Israeli,. Not everywhere's as do-your-own-thing about patriotism as the west is.

Still doesn't make her decisions and handling of it not really bad, sure. But that still doesn't make her a bad streamer, just bad at understanding lobbyism politics, which most people (let alone college age kids) aren't too, so to me, it's forgivable.

I really hate the CCP politically. Despite that, I liked Artia and could understand her situation. Not really something I'm saying for popularity points on redditfront, it's just what I was asked so it's how I feel.

Your 's agurement are invalid anon if Yogiri can stay neutral that mean Artia can stay neutral too.

Artia had good reason to not associcate with spammer but she chose to help them indirectly way.

She is the Judas of Hololive in the end and she did it to herself.

If you believe any of the CN were "innocent" on this issue you're mistaken.

I guarantee they're all "guilty." The level of which gradates, sure. But you're asking some half-mental Chinese girl who lives usually in the US or Canada to completely divorce her Chinese roots to work for a Japanese company that couldn't even keep Coco safe, and hope Americans and Japanese will keep her stable and safe, let alone her family in China.

It's just not happening dude, and you should at least to see what her perspective was so you can criticize her better.

I don't think we have a complete picture, but it's close enough for what I'm saying to be closer to the truth than "she's an evil judas and gets only what she deserves, it's all/mostly her fault."

You're right that she made a really bad choice though, and I held that against her and didn't watch her current idol on bili. If she came back to twitch and maybe rebuilt a decent following and left China, we could talk about me being more serious.

You're not supposed to have discussions in the chat in the first place. The chat exists for the audience to react to and interact with the streamer, not other audience members. That's why JP chats are full of 草, they are using the chat as intended.

normal streams, you know those not hololive, the streamer actually interacts with and reads the chat because its not filled with retards spamming 24/7
when I watch any medium sized vtuber they're regularly asking questions and replying to their chat specifically.

holofags have no idea what actual streamers are like because they think showing off numbers is a good thing, when in reality it just makes the chat insufferable.

I don't know which vtubers you're watching but in my experience JP chatters pretty much never directly respond to each other, even in slow chats. I even opened an archive to double check myself here, there's maybe 5 or 6 people chatting and 100% of the comments are reactions to the stream, no audience cross-talk in sight. This is typical of my experience with JP vtubers.
