NijiEN as a whole remains far more popular and successful. The decline of NijiEN alongside Phase's incline is apparent but Phase has a long way to go. I will say if you asked me last year I would have said Phase would never surpass NijiEN but now I can actually envision it.

Rosemi for example would be the #2 phase girl right now, but she's just a mid-level for NijiEN.

Also NijiEN has a much higher box, they're going to get 30k+ 3D streams soon. Phase can't compete with that.

Maybe in another year. Phase will have more strength. But right now they are still too little.

She's done a great job hammering in on a niche and a specific kind of audience, but I don't think there's much blood left to draw from it.

One of the corpos currently in that tier where the rest of Phase's talents are has the chance to eventually slot in as a NijiEN replacement (assuming NijiEN ends up replaced) better than Phase does, IMO. Of the Youtube corpos, I think Phase is more primed to take the slot. Vshojo is too twitch-focused and technically isn't a corpo to begin with, more of an indie coalition like 3AM or vDere, just on a bigger scale, EN indies aren't big enough on Youtube to be competitive most of the ones that are just simulcast on Twitch anyway, and there's no other EN corpo pulling enough numbers to compete.

I don't entirely agree with Pippa reaching the ceiling, but even if she was she's doing well enough for herself that maintaining her current trajectory would probably still have her comfortable. I figure once you get to upper 3-view/lower 4-view status, you probably don't need to worry about the /#/ rat race so much, and trying to push through anyway can easily lead to burnout.

Yes, NijiEN stagnating and failing to really grow or even fully maintain their current audience will put them eternally in the second tier of groups. No, this will not remove them from the market entirely and, at least as of right now, they continue to be larger both as a branch and organizationally than any other group in that tier.

NijiEN falling from 2nd to 3rd in the Youtube market will require another company to grow and take that spot, not for it to simply happen by default of NijiEN folding.

Sure, but in the same vein Phase's reputation has by and large been carried by Pippa as their "heavy hitter." The heavy hitters ultimately define the organization as a whole, doubly so when you go wide like NijiEN has.

As long as NijiEN still has chuubas who can regularly pull in solidly 4view audiences, they will continue to be #2 in the Youtube market. Phase, Idol or another company has to beat them by growing past that since at this point it feels like most of NijiEN's remaining audience has dug their heels in.

Of course, growing past that line will be easier as NijiEN talents continue to graduate, if they do, but at the same time none of the current crop of small corpos have really successfully broken out in that way yet.
