So from time to time I have theorized that they were waiting for all the graduations to get out of the way before they did 3D debuts so they wouldn't have to do all that extra work on 3D just for it to go to waste when the liver graduated. But then the graduations kept coming so I became less sure of myself. But then Selen graduates and suddenly Rosemi and Petra 3D is finally happening after all this time? So now I'm starting to wonder if my theory was correct all along and we're about to start seeing a bunch of 3D models now that we've seen the last of the graduations. I just love seeing all the doomposting and baseless speculation get btfo, and watching them have to pivot to a new narrative that Nijisanji is somehow forcing them to stay, as if they have any power to do that. They're grown adults, they can quit any time they want. If a company is doing something illegal, NDAs have no power and you're allowed to reveal whatever you want. So the fact that they haven't says it all really.

It's relatively common for members who are graduating soon to suddenly get new assets or 3D.
The asset is mostly done and is just sitting there due to laziness/scheduling. Then it becomes known the member is graduating "amicably" so they quickly finish the asset and set up the asset reveal stream so the work done on the asset isn't completely wasted and both the company and the member get a bit of extra income.
On top of those reasons NijiEN really needs some wins, even small temporary ones.

This is basically incentives to keep a mass exodus from happening alongside the changed rules about prior graduated talents in MVs and MV rules in general which is why we got a ton of them releasing last month from Rosemi and Sonny's duet to Lazulight's last cover. The queue might still be there though, because these changes as significant as they are still don't address the elephant in the room and is table stakes compared to what actually needs to happen to regain trust in the company and talents and especially now that the public knows the employment contract still has this much power over the talents.
At the very least, no one is going to graduate until the shareholder meeting and financial results for Q4 are held and announced a week from now. But I think there are still going to be people leaving which is inevitable. I really do hope for everyone's sake the C-suite at Anycolor has good plans to turn the ship around even if it takes time but I am fearing the worse where we're just going to get the equivalent of a cut and run scheme happening.

Only a blind fan of Nijisanji and not the talents themselves would want anything other than their oshi to leave.
As far as further graduations go, I expect them to come hard and fast now that it's public knowledge how poorly written, unenforceable and frankly illegal their contracts are. You're right that they can quit anytime they want but they wouldn't know that if the retards never had a lawyer look at their contract until this point.

They were unironically using the 3D debuts as a "carrot" in order to entice the vtubers to sign another year. That's why they kept delaying and delaying "just stay one more year, surely this time".
They probably put a moratorium on graduations until the debuts are over, but they'll come hot and heavy afterwards.

They can't sue you and their college interns wouldn't be able to figure out how even if they wanted to try, being blacklisted by Nijisanji is a badge of honor, saviorfags will pour in to support you as an indie...

All this means is that they are desperate to retain the talent and finally decided fo invest again. Niji could have done fhis every year with the amount of money they make. Funny how its obvious NijiEN failed to do their jobs well for the last 2 years then and it is publicly known that favouritism was where priorities lied. The fact they are doing what they originally should have been doing for everyone does not win them any favours. It just comes to light how many projects they left half finished with the current speed they are pumping them out. Talk about neglected.

Yeah it's to recover their public image by doing the right thing but fuck off receiving praise for their entire purpose of existence. All the talent leaving have solid plan B and plan Cs in place, it's also impossibile to change their mind because the rot is still there, they didn't punish the clique or change management as far as we know.

They can’t publicly punish the clique; it’d instantaneously destroy whoever was admonished. This probably only ends in a hard termination of the clique member/members (which will subsequently damage the recipient’s reputation in the industry for however long afterwards) or perpetual denial of leave. Given they are trying to repair their image, they probably want to just paint Selen as the problem child, then attempt to trek forward from there.

NijiEN will be won't be attracting the best talent they can unless they specifically hire sharks who want to make it big and continually suppress the clique pissing off everyone even more. No one really wants to dive into a toxic environment with diminishing benefits. The only credibility they had which is reputation, was systematically targeted by rrats affer all. Precisely. They are in a Catch 22 at the moment; a vise of their spawning, given their actions. They won’t allow terminations to stain them right now, won’t admit to faults over allowing the clique to fester, and can’t swing the public perception easily. Any action they do take now seems like a desperate survival measure to all but the NDF.

Yeah.
They had Pomu and Selen who were pushing for projects and collabs and we know what happened to them.
And the soul crushing environment ensures that everyone else who might sometimes push for something (eg. Rosemi, or some of the dudes who according to the leaks were trying to start things) won't either.
If you have to pull teeth every time you want to do something beyond basic streaming, and even run the risk of being marked as "problematic" by management? Fuck that, you're going to do the bare minimum.

Azuchi Momo, a NijiJP streamer, received her 3D just before her graduation. Pomu's 3D didn't get fixed until some days prior to her graduation. Kyo in his graduation stream revealed a new outfit that was in the works but never got around getting rigged. There's already a precedent of members getting 3D, updates or outfits just before they leave Nijisanji.
Rather than a sign of recovery, it seems like a sign of things ending, but maybe this time will not be the case. Only thing left to do is to wait and see how it turns out.
