The issue here is that a bisexual is hated by both homo and hetero groups as unreliable, so they will pick a side. A woman with, say, an 80% or 60% inclination towards men will go through life as straight woman. And the opposite direction if they 80-60% women leaning.
This leads many bisexuals, Pippa for one, to jump to the conclusion that everyone is bisexual or that every woman is. But this diminishes both homosexuality and heterosexuality too much. I don't care if they're in fact a majority of the world, I aim a heterosexual, so there must also be actual gays and lesbians. We shouldn't diminish each other, much less assume a bisexual is an untrustworthy mate.
