ya, i figured we could have told you that much before, sorry if you asked and we just didn't notice or something. to be fair, "guro" is honestly a lot more encompassing than you might initially expect. guro = grotesque, so pretty much all of that falls within the same category of /meat/. /freak/ was a change because we started including less extreme, or otherwise less purely authentic guro content, essentially. we called it "/jerky/" because it's not quite fresh, but it still counts as meat. i'm glad to see pamu, para, and quite a few of our recent chuubas have continued in that authentic /meat/ tradition, but i also welcome the new content. as long as it's partially related to the main topic, and the rest of the thread is ok with it, it is ok to have here. honestly, i would have put denpa along with para in the authentic category, but to each their own.

honestly, looking back and seeing everything this community has been through always leaves me speechless.
I've been here since the days of /sbg/ and to see that even today we have room for our old ways is relieving, especially to see new chuubas who understand this culture and, even in an indirect way, do a spectacular job in representing our community.
these three camps have always been an obsession for me, and knowing that we've reached a point where we can embrace them all in one house is more than perfect for me.

Ultimately, I don't find expansion bad. It beats getting kicked to trash, and we find new talent and entertainers we can actually discuss instead of waiting on schedules or trying to post who is live. I do miss fanfics and worldbuilding however.
As long as the new understands the core culture and represents us authentically, and those old ways aren't forgotten or twisted into something else, I have no complaints.

Thanks anon! I'm not even gonna be coy about it being directly influenced by the sandbag lore. I'm really excited so I'll shill the full story again for those who didn't see it when I posted it a month ago or so.
The character is gonna be a combat medic who uses their regenerative abilities to walk deep into conflict zones while enduring all sorts of gunfire, flame and explosion causing them horrific injury that terrifies the enemies, in order to retrieve heavily injured or near-dead soldiers to be disassembled and reassembled into chimeric abominations as a twisted kind of scientific experiment.

The chimera's will also make appearances as live 2d models constructed out of a collage of photos of body parts kind of like the face on the first Carcass album. I'm also playing with the idea of acting like chat is one of the chimera, one with multiple consciousnesses, and making small allusions to the fact by saying things like "there are many of you in there" and having all zatsu segments take place in an environment that makes the viewer feel like they're some kind of patient/subject in a weird facility

For the record I was a casual pngtuber before getting into /meat/. I only started making threads and posting on the offsite after Comma deleted her channel and I wanted to know what happened to her or if she had archives anywhere.

My character is based on a mascot for a drawthread I made eight years ago on /trash/, so I have technically been actively /here/ for a while, just not necessarily this community.
