Up to this day i still cant believe how they got away with this. This is basically a scam on the global scale

Once upon a time I was an EN fan, and can attest from personal experience that people who bought tickets for AR Live did get refunded within a couple of weeks.

Arguments lose credibility when you can't be bothered to fact check and use shitty data.

True, not only they would refund but also make it free for everyone, truly evil

Not enough Australians (possibly 0) bought tickets. Australia brought fucking Valve to heel over their consumer protection laws and fucking goes hard dragging the opponent through the mud on the global stage. They pressure their banks to just charge back and blacklist companies. The government department that handles consumer protection is fucking schizo and desperate to swing their dick around at anyone they can. The only time they say there's nothing they can do is if they can't locate the business (common for online scams). If Anycolor told them to eat dick, Australia would unironically pressure YouTube into banning all their channels until they caved.

need some aussies to take the bullet for everyone else and crash that company with no survivors, there has to be someone who bought something from the recently terminated chuubas that isn't being refunded.

It makes sense when you realize Australia's biggest business partners are all in Southeast and East Asia. They need to be judicious to keep the mafia-states and kleptocracies at bay, otherwise they'll end up as a dystopian playground for foreign oligarchs like Singapore.

Don't get your hopes up, if the Australian government just gets only the Aussie's money back they immediately stop caring again. There's only a real risk of company crashing if it's a systematic thing like illegal (in AUS) refund policy.
Anycolor would only go down if they called Australia's bluff that they wouldn't take them to town over $60 or whatever.

Cover didn't handle the refund, the streaming site that crashed did. They probably had to pay compensation to Cover too for failing to provide the service. Cover got to double dip on the superchats on the free stream on youtube. Yagoo made a killing that day.
