What happened with Bisco is why I can't ever side with the people who say that corpos needs to give the talents the model when the talents leave. It's so easily abused that it cannot ever work. Even if they add a clause like stream for a year before you get to keep the model it's still easily abused. Vtubers already take lots of time off for any reason whatsoever so they can stream like 2 times a week for a year then end with a free model when they leave.

It's not a big deal, actually, as long as there's proper compensation. Most corpos who offered the models and IP if a contract is broken, have to pay a fine substantially higher than when broken normally. I'm not sure what drove Bisco to break contract instead of waiting out the term, but she likely had to pay as well.

It's a business, after all and signing a contract means you have take responsibility for using a model (and wasting it) when it's not yours.

Glad you read through my spelling error. But that became the norm nowadays to distrust corpos. I do want to believe in the girl i invest in though, ideally no one would invest in a vtuber who they didnt trust.
