also, that unicorn/GFE cap bit was right at the end of the lastthread so I missed a chance to add to it, but based on personal experience, I've never seen it actually hardcap growth, ever.
What it does do is supercharge your growth potential(mind you that, as always, there are no certainties, even if you were to stack literally every single buff; it is still one of the most powerful rate ups, though) all the way through 3 and 4 view tiers. And yes, it has broken 5 view status, so it certainly isn't a barrier to that tier. What it does do at such high levels is softcap peaks a little bit, but I do mean softcap; it is simply a result of that tier being full of such behemoths that GFE alone cannot propel you to the top.
But it would be dismissive to say that you would be better off without it, even in that tier. Once you enter high 4 view/5 view levels, you are playing with people who are stacking the kinds of buffs that only minor celebrities pull off.
Another major benefit of it that people kinda ignore but the astute numberfag can observe is that GFE/unicorn pandering solidifies your floor as your rise more than almost anything else. This is obviously less exciting than reaching new peaks, but for anybody who has felt low over seeing a trench in their viewership, you should be able to understand the value of a high floor. If peaks are the good days, the trenches are the bad days. That kind of content gives you not just more good days, but less bad days too.

So, every "content style" that revolves around the relationship you have with your viewers is always going to garner the best results with a more natural form of progression. Pushing yourself too far to the point where you don't feel natural anymore, or worse, uncomfortable, is not only a recipe for failure, but a recipe for resentment. Which is bad for many obvious reasons.
Unfortunately, there is no one size fits all blue print for what counts as "natural progression", because it is ultimately dependent on you and your personality. You need to pay attention to keeping the flow of things natural to you while occasionally pushing the envelope every so often. Holidays like valentines day are unironically good springboard, and so is white day to a lesser extent. Christmas can be good simply because vtubing has that weird JP culture crossover.
For something more concrete, a very common way is to occasionally give off a GFE like line as a "joke". Zoomer humor has blurred the lines between irony and reality so far that it's pretty easy to use joking banter, to transition into joking flirty banter, to "joking" flirty banter, to...and so on. For an example of a GFE vtuber who makes pretty heavy use of jokes while unironically being completely serious, I'd recommend Lucy. Though she is probably too crass than some people would like to be. But she is still a good example of how to use humor as an ice breaker.

Your model can't play much a roll in a lets play. Your props can be hard to reach in a lets play.
