Saying goodbye to your folks for an extended amount of time is tough. I spent a year away for work and got to go home twice and I still felt homesick all the time. It's a fun, straightforward party-based RPG. It's made by Alicesoft (the Rance devs) so it's pretty much a lighter and softer Rance where the MC is a gigachad who decided to leave home and become the strongest knight in the world so that he could prove himself and marry the twin sister dragon-girls who raised him. It's got a bunch of cute girls, simple but fun jrpg gameplay, and godlike art since it's illustrated by nan (the Senran Kagura guy). Definitely worth a play if you're interested from reading the game page.
