Unironically be yourself. If any vtuber was a good actor they'd be acting, not vtubing. Trying to come off a certain way just makes you seem fake.
Be true to yourself. Love the things you love and share that passion with your audience. They show up because they want to like you. You don't have to trick them into it, just give them anything.

My entire streaming career, I've just been following trends, I'm not that good at games, and I only play them because they're famous. It's not that I don't enjoy them, it's just that I don't think I'm a dedicated gamer. Knowing this is a majority of what I'm going to do in the future discourages me even more.

I heard an indie chuuba say this, basically when you're streaming, your thoughts aren't your own anymore, they're chat's, and you should say whatever comes to mind. Obviously don't do this if you're gonna do a bridge moment and say slurs.

Also if you're gonna game, care about stuff. Explore everything, have some fucking curiosity. Don't skip dialogue, don't miss obvious things. I've seen too many female chuubas that don't use entire game mechanics because they didn't know they could use them. Game mechanics like "blocking" or "right clicking to use the alt fire on a weapon".

If the story matters and is easily spoiled, just don't look at chat entirely while you stream.

If you're gonna do gfe, just dont cuck your audience, simple as.
