Without Coco, vtubing wouldn't have a profitable western audience and the big corpos wouldn't even have branched out.

She entered the scene early and rode the first wave of the vtuber explosion in the west really well, that's all. What can be accredited to her though is that these days she functions as a bridge between the vtubing sphere and the mainstream normie streaming sphere. It's commendable that she's using the influence she has to make a difference in the real world, but had it not been for like a dozen of more influential vtubers in the vtubing sphere before her, she wouldn't even have a platform today.

Hololive got popular in the west and had a profitable western audience before Coco even debuted. The only thing Coco did, for the west, was have a tourist audience that left when she did.
Vtubing on Youtube and Twitch are two completely separate things. What Ironmouse did was become the face of twitch vtubing.
