How does nepotism top actual talent? They clearly have to be desperate, because to hire a chick with a proven track record of being largely hated by the vtuber community, constantly involved in drama and controversy, and her most popular video being a diaper changing ASMR? All of her other content is boring, she’s one of those girls who think “le edgy meme = funni” and produced no actual original content. they'll hire a seemingly less talented vtuber that they know will fit in both in content and via being friends with existing talents, over a slightly more well known talent that doesn't seem like a good fit and none of their talents know. it happens all the time, like, literally the time, in vtuber corpos, especially after the first generation.

If you're the most talented person in the world but you're an asshole who can't get along with anyone, you're rotting in indie hell forever, meanwhile someone who has far less talent than you but meshes perfectly with 4 other girls basically has a job ready for her.
