The difference in why it doesn't blow up is because the company, their requirements, and the kind of people they hire are different. They hire talents that have carious aspirations and skills, and a professional attitude as entertainers. The other difference is that they're very light on weighing in on politics, culture wars, their periods, and their sex life. It's not that they have nothing to talk about concerning these topics, but they're professionals that understand that their job isn't to talk about those things. Their fans are also different for this reason, they're people that don't really care about those things and don't watch vtubers to have their opinions validated.
When a long-time talent is terminated it's very sad for everybody, but they all come to terms with it and move on, which is the best for all parties in the long-term. Other times talents have been terminated for breaching their contract and faced some harassment online, but not really the same kind that causes non-stop drama.
Hololive is not special in that regard. They're just acting normal for a media company and they hire fairly normal people to work for them that can act like professionals. When they can't they try to sever things properly. They difference is that other companies don't hire serious people, talented people, and professionally minded entertainers, and so they also don't attract serious fans.

basically every holo yab has been handled with the basic PR philosophy of "shut the fuck up and let it blow over". Hololive DID have a lot of yabs at the beginning. Starting in 2020, there was recognition by Cover that they did not have the ability to handle things on their own as the company got bigger, so they professionalized and brought in specialized talent management. EN took a little longer, but sometime in late 2022/early 2023, Cover seemed to realize the management of the branch were fuckups and got rid of them and replaced them with Dimitri Jap who has done an outstanding job of stabilizing the branch.

The new management served as excellent tard wranglers and while the company still has problems, they have generally been able to keep yabs from happening, and when they have happened, they've been able to manage them so they don't blow up into major disasters. Look at how fast Michael Cat has completely imploded without a tard wrangler to keep her under control.

Coco was arguable since the situation was pretty ambiguous. On the one hand you had the obvious "stealth" collab ban particularly for EN and the mod fiasco. On the other hand they literally cut all ties with fucking CHINA after seeing how batshit insane chinks are, and then dissolved the entire CN branch after finding out they were basically supportive of the harassment. I don't know any corporation that would ever be willing to stop dicksucking China just for moral principles.

Overall the only yab factories seem to be just Nijisanji and various "small corps" due to incompetent management + attracting grifters.
And the reasons for why are quite clear.
