It really could in a few different interesting ways. The scenario I'm most curious about that I haven't seen anyone else talk about is it's monetization scheme and how it effects the talents. If HoloEarth ends up being successful, and the talents don't somehow get a cut of it's profits, I think that will lead to some problems. Like imagine you're a Holo, and suddenly your SCs and merch revenue dry up because your fans are all whaling in HoloEarth instead, perhaps even thinking that they're supporting you and Hololive by doing it.

It could also be massively successful, and print Genshin-tier money, becoming more popular than Hololive as we know it now is. Kids would say "Hololive? Oh yea I love that game" completely ignorant that it's an idol group of active streamers. How would that affect the company? Would they divert all their resources to game dev while putting Hololive events on the backburner? Would they ACCELERATE and debut more talents at a rapid pace so there are more characters for people to whale for? Would the talents resent the rest of the company for mogging them financially? Interesting to think about.

It could also just fail miserably and they wasted all their money and years of work, but that's probably the least likely. I would bet on the game breaking even at least.

The best case scenario is that it turns out to be a middling gacha game that people will spend money on but not really go crazy for, while everything else goes business-as-usual

Are those meetings annually or quarterly? If it's quarterly the real damage won't even be shown this quarter it's the one after. Simply because the actual shenanigans came too late in the quarter.

They goal is everything leads back to everything else. All encompassing ideals are slow glaciers, to even move faster than cover is right now would be a grand mistake. I'm only impressed at how well they've done so far, considering the adopted the ZUN style of fan-content.

>> No.69579862

>>69579346
Another fun one: imagine it's both very successful and they also work out a shared profit scheme with the talents through something like a character shop where the girls get money from sales featuring their character's image. Game balance is now a huge issue. Cover releases Limited SSR Santa Nene and she's fucking overpowered. Every non-F2P player buys her to play the new meta. Then a few months later they release Valentine Marine and she's shit. Nene made 20 million dollars from her character's sales while Marine made 3% of that due to no fault of her own.

Other gachas don't have problems from situations like that since all the money goes to the same place but with real humans tied to every character it's a real dilemma.

Why are you assuming there will be gacha elements? Microtransactions for cosmetics and the like are a given, but the whole rationale of the project seems to be to attempt to create a platform in the vein of Roblox or Minecraft that serves as a community focal point, rather than a gacha monetization scheme.

>Numbers play a fundamental role in shaping our understanding of the world. They provide a universal language for expressing quantity, measuring, and analyzing phenomena across various disciplines. From basic arithmetic to advanced mathematical concepts, numbers serve as the foundation for scientific discoveries, technological advancements, and economic analyses. In everyday life, they help us make informed decisions, manage resources efficiently, and navigate the complexities of modern society. Numbers facilitate communication, allowing us to convey precise information and quantify the unquantifiable. Without numbers, the structure of our knowledge and the progress of human civilization would be severely limited.
