You don't have to interact if you don't want to. I almost never say anything besides saying hi at the start and gg thanks for team at the end, and even that is optional. As far as just playing with a team it doesn't really require much communication, basically just

>Identify who the damage dealer for your team is (usually someone with strong AoE spells like a storm player but if one guy is way higher level than the rest they may just take on the role regardless of school)
>Put up traps and blades if you can to help boost their damage, especially on the boss in the encounter.
>Most importantly: Do not fuck up traps set by other teammates with random attacks if your attacks aren't going to be strong enough to 1shot the enemy with those traps up. Just pass if there's nothing helpful you can do.

Some other stuff to keep in mind

>You can see what your teammates are going to do on the bottom row (along with an icon indicating which enemy/player they are going to cast on) you can use this to try to direct your own such to not set up redundant trap/blades or whatever (though keep in mind under some cases the same trap can stack, such as equipment/pet/trained of the same type will all stack with each other)
>Turn order is determined by order that people entered the battle. If you're a support with buffs and stuff it may benefit to enter the battle before the damage dealer, since you will have another opportunity to blade/trap on the turn they attack before their attack goes off.
>If some max level player joins and starts 1shotting everything (happens occasionally) you can probably just pass every turn and enjoy getting to basically skip through one quick run, which can be nice since you'll be doing this a lot.

this is a weird mindset for me particularly because i understand the ick of interacting with random xbox lobbies and stuff at my age, but when i started playing mmos regularly that wasn't really an option in a raiding environment
i would hop on a discord with at least 24 other weirdos, do what they asked me to do and try to be nice to people so i could enjoy the game. The difference between socializing and exercising is that physical exertion is always tiring no matter what "type" of athlete you are or are not, and training merely increases how long you can go before getting tired. Social interaction is not universally exhausting, because extroverted people are not spending willpower when they interact with people. But sometimes people get mad, say things they don't really mean, and apologize for it later. Better to step back in those moments and let them vent than take it too seriously.

Hey there, rabbahead. Don't worry much about it. Like you said, one or two anons in here seem to be really jaded and/or just don't have a very healthy, mature outlook on relationships. Anyone who has been here for longer than five minutes can see you put a lot of focus on breadposts, and Rabbalabs Champ has done a lot to make that easier for everyone, too. I post in the bread as well as in the chat and I personally don't see a huge difference. You reply to many of my comments in both places. It's obvious sometimes that you have to decide whether to read from chat or from bread at any given moment and might miss something worth responding to, but that's not your fault. You do a really good job at spreading your focus between your game, the chat and the bread.
