Hololive Indonesia wasn't created as "Hololive SEA", they targeted a single market language.

Most streamers fear going on break, extended hiatus can be a death sentence in the algorithm. Peoples viewing habits change, others might investigate why you aren't streaming who would have otherwise remained complacent.
I feel that the Niji's might have had one or two bad streams, but agitators would have moved on quickly if they got banned and ignored, or not even allowed to post due to members only mode being turned on.
Instead Nijisanji have gone to ground, many have been offline for going on a week, their self imposed exile is going to end up doing more damage to them than any amount of angry tourists, as some of their core audience bleeds out to inattention and finding other shit to do.

I will say, you're making a good point, but there's something important that should be added to this logic.
The other anons are right about how HOLOS can take long breaks and be generally fine. And Niji COULD'VE done that, but there's a problem:
Holos are able to take breaks because of the Holobox effect. Knowing that, even if your oshi is gone for a while, other girls are there to pick up the slack. That's an important part of the Holobox, it's keeping people around even during their main girl's absences. They're all very different in terms of streaming content, but the throughline that the Holobox gives them means that it's fine to jump from one to another while waiting for your main girl.
NijiEN fucked this up TREMENDOUSLY. They're all so different from each other, and have such an insanely broken down box, that they can't benefit from the Box Effect anymore.
