People meme about this but unironically most people in this world depend on alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or sex as their only source of happiness. Healthy isn't a one size fits all. If your vtuber love brings only or mostly positive feelings/results, then I'd say it's "healthy". If it negatively impacts your mood quite often, then probably not. The latter is often what happens because of the lack of reciprocation though. This is why an actual, healthy relationship with a real person is almost always going to be better for you.

Human beings are designed to form parasocial relationships with a leader figure, and join the community gathered around that figure.
The leaders themselves are often stressed out, suffer from imposter syndrome, and self-destruct if they can't cope by imagining themselves as part of a greater community where someone else is the leader that they can form their own parasocial relationship with, like God or whatever.

It can be healthy if their streams inspire you to do your reps. VTubers are originally stage three of a 21 step psyop by the JP government to get men to like actual women again, which has now been co-opted by companies like Sony who have major links to the US military to get 4chan incels out of inceldom and start breeding again.

So it's a complicated issue. It's better than having a waifu or being a celebrity stalker, and there are genuine agents involved on this site to try and stop you from getting too schizo, advising you not to "break containment" and to "take your meds", but is it really healthy to let yourself be controlled by a huge conspiracy instead of being your true, authentic self? What does healthy really even mean in this sterile late capitalist era? I can't tell you, anon. That's for you to find out for yourself.

For similar reasons, if she was a degen fujo/shotacon/whatever the fuck then that would lift a fear from my shoulders and be really hot desu. I draw the line at diapers however
I don't see how I could date a girl who was completely mentally a-okay, I guess it would be cool if she was mentally healthy but also not riajuu but then I just can't imagine why she'd want me
Cute laugh is a must, but there are many types of cute laugh. The EN Trinity all have cute but very different laughs. Gura's is my favorite by a long shot but the others are also great
Curiosity about the world is necessary too, I want us to be able to tell each other about cool shit we knew nothing about, kind of like the PCP lectures and yes that's a stupid comparison. Ame's animals are a very good example

Cliché answer, but "It depends".
In this case it depends on the viewer on how they handle it.

For some it's a comfort, for some a motivation to self-improve (reps).
For others it's an obsession.
Korean idol culture and now vtuber agencies like Hololive encourage it. They very intentionally forbid idols to mention they have a boyfriend, so susceptible viewers can imagine having a chance with their "available" Oshi. It's probably the worst criticism of idol culture, at least big twitch streamers and youtubers are starting to tell their audience they don't know them, they're not friends. To at least attempt to get them back in touch with reality. I respect that Marine at least said something similar at >>6898686

You can fall hopelessly in love with someone you don't really know, you don't even know what they look like. The mentally stable will be forbidden to approach someone they understandable want to get to know, the schizo's might do stalky shit. At least with celebs the wealth difference is big enough you can understand you're out of your league and not worth their attention.

If you hit the point where nothing but her makes you happy then you have a problem; if you're fairly obsessed (and not doing schizo stalker shit) but can still be stable/happy without her around then I don't think it's a problem.

It's really only a problem when it becomes like a drug, that you can't function without your fix. I see nothing wrong with Polka turning to her fans for comfort. We don't know her life or what she's going through, so if she needs that little bit of comfort to get by then so be it. It's not as if she's going to descend into madness and need it every day for the rest of her life or she can't function. It's a sometimes thing, that cycles with her emotions.
