One thing i've learnt in the vtubing world is how mentally ill ALL artists are. The mentally sound ones are so rare that they deserve to charge high prices for their art. The fact is that most artists learn to draw as some sort of coping mechanism over some trauma that happened to them IRL and is thus flakey, terrible with deadlines or scheduling and are genuinely terrible with money too.

Good sane artists are like gold, treat them well because you need them but most are terrible and you should be wary.

She uses VRChat and a full body tracking setup. There are many different ways you can get full body tracking, but the cheapest would probably be a Quest 2 (~$300 to $400) + Self-Built Slime-Tracker IMUs (Price Varies for DIY electronics)

At the high end, she is using a more expensive VR Headset + Valve Base Stations and HTC Vive Trackers, which can be several thousands of dollars.

I think if she's doing flips and stuff IMUs are probably better for the tracking because the base stations would get occluded at awkward angles. They need direct line of sight to the tracking points on your body.

There's a reason why companies like Hololive pay to give their talents the latest iphones. Single device tracking is really only good for face tracking on Live2D or FaceRig like software for 3D.

There is software that can turn your webcams or an Xbox 360 Connect into a camera tracker, but they're jank as shit and have a really hard time tracking movement towards the camera.

A minimum viable FBT setup would be something like a used Quest 2 and Slime IMU trackers you built yourself. Trying to order slime trackers is near impossible right now because everyone who makes them has more orders then they can fill.

There are other solutions like Sony's mocopi, which MSRPs for $400.
