The only logical deduction is that Selen's receipts were damning enough that Elira willingly went through with the stream.
It's a fact that if she said no and martyred herself she would have had the biggest public opinion win and would have been able to walk away with a guaranteed audience following her. The only reality where this isn't true is one where she was one of the responsible parties in the docs Selen's legal rep sent to Nijisanji. If she's one of the bullies, then she can't be a martyr and live the easy life outside the corpo, her only option is to try and keep the sinking ship together at all costs because she has no future if it goes under.
This makes even more sense if as a bilingual founding member she's actually acting as a manager herself and has been for awhile.
