Somewhat uneventful day despite CR cup making numbers in the global tally, witnessing Met's first platinum in the year and another impressive entry from Patra.

Why is VSPO so unpopular here even though they're near the top in JP? They don't have a ton of members like niji either. Even 774 gets more discussion than VSPO and they have less than a quarter of the same pull.

There's that, but I think part of it comes down to their normal streaming practices. VSpo usually play the same games, often in full teams. Solo play of a story game or something is always secondary. The default state being collabs in competitive multiplayer games makes for less discussion in general, unless there's a tournament or scrims going on.

It's been 2 weeks and a month since respectively Sei Hoshizuki and Amagi Ten last streamed

A bit sidetracking from Vtubing but:

Shaka peaked 53k for CR cup, more than 10k lower than Kuzuha's 67k. Obviously some of that can be attributed to his not going to the finals (having 2 girl vtubers, kek) but I can see the slight recline from his peak last year peak period (which was around VCR GTA #1 and some CR cups).

With Daruma outcold and Ras on military service, while CR is still busy with CR fes, the JP streamer scene is taking some significant hits and might expect some downtime.

Kaguya Luna / Pmarusama approached them, compared their earnings and told her gamebu friends that they were severely underpaid. The circle of friends voicing the characters of gamebu then made insane unsustainable salary hikes for a yet volatile unproven industry (hololive was still a drop in the water at that time). Painful but given the harsh unreasonable demands, Unlimited Co., Ltd management has to sadly let go of the characters' voice actors who didn't account for the costs of labor like video editing, scriptwriting, qa, etc they were so full of themselves when all they had going for them were the voices while Unlimited handles all the work and financial risk. Later it would be found that Pmarusama was going around giving the same bad advice to other vtubers believing she was 'helping' them leading to more big controversies like Kizuna AI graduating, turns out Kaguya Luna has been seducing and having affairs with the husband of Kizuna and making financial promises to him as the money from advices she made came at great costs, only later as p-marusama would this controversy become public after the second baby of Nozomi with the aforementioned husband. It's the one time Sony made the right decision to drop a high grossing entertainer who wrecks the career of everything related to her and destroys families.

Time for the big reveal: Pmarusama wasn’t “caught” by Korekore, it was a joined union to highlight how pitiful her dear Oyabun senpai had become post her end as Kizuna Ai. Yes, they came relatively late into the scene when Nazuna and Sumire debuted at the end of 2018 and weren't getting much traction.
Nose after debuting was the one who put them on the map by forming some notable outside connections with Reid, Akkun, Yotsuha, Yoruno Yui (aka Met) and especially Kanae.

What's more, she did this as the awkward and wild girl that current Nose usually cringes when recalling about.
