I just don't really have much faith left in me for the branch to improve after Pomu left.
I really thought she'd stick with it till the end. It wasn't until after she left that I remembered her being so fed up with the constant bullshit in 2022 that she was ready to leave then and only stuck around for her friends.
I thought, maybe in 2023 we'd get back to the feeling of 2021, where everyone was happy and excited for what came next, but instead I got to watch pomu get crushed again and again.
I cried so fucking hard when she left.

Then Selen happened, Selen shilled the branch a lot and flat out said numerous times she wouldn't graduate unless things got really bad. She couldn't even leave on her own terms because someone in management very clearly had a grudge against her. Elira and the rest of obsydia have been gone for a week now with no signs of life, their PC collab got cancelled, artists are refusing to draw them, and my heart hurts too much to keep trying to hope that things will get better.

Honestly I prefer both Pomu and Elira's originals to Finana's. Not hating on them or anything but they just aren't the type of music I would ever listen to by choice. Now they have had a monumental fuck up on this scale maybe they are actually trying to reform the branch and paying closer attention. It's coming way too late and people won't easily forget and forgive what happened with Selen though. The core product, streaming, will cover living costs and turn a profit with the popularity that they already have. I'd worry about how viable that could be. Let's assume that this Pomu, Elira, Petra, Rosemi thing happens. Pomu and Elira have no problem getting people to come to their streams. But Rosemi, despite the lipservice people give her, has never maintained a big solo draw, while Petra is just a horrible disaster of a streamer who only gets worse with time.

It really has been a hard year, most of my friends from uni are also unemployed. I started looking for adjacent jobs in the meantime and managed to land many interviews in just a few weeks of trying, unlike development jobs where I can't get shit.
