Then when you actually get there you find out that people are burned the fuck out because of the fact their corporation expects unrealistic hours for them to work while getting shit pay while also telling them that they're not fulfilling their sense of "duty" and "honor" by choosing not to work for a shitty ass company. The thing is that you shouldn't be forced into promoting an indie account while you're in a corporation and Japan has already experimented with the idea of replacing the people behind vtubers before with kizuna ai. If it weren't for the western backlash it would have worked too.
If you're the only reason that people know the name of a vtuber, then you by all accounts should have the rights to keep the fanbase you worked hard to create and develop when you choose to leave the company.
The company should be there to elevate you and give you opportunities that you otherwise wouldn't have in a relationship that benefits both parties.
The relationship shouldn't be composed of you attempting to make your fanbase know that you have an alternative account just because you know that the second you're gone you're locked out of all social media and etc.
