IMO part of it is Japanese culture of respecting the precedent set by seniors at work naturally holding a lot of the hires in line. They are not encouraged to be unique snowflake individuals breaking the mold/basically looking for a fight by default unlike much of the West, so the girls go with the flow and once explained to why it's a very good idea to not rock the boat and just collect your gachi money gravy train, they don't want to break it. Laplus seems to have been dumb enough to not pick up on any of this and/or refuses to understand the benefits of the established system. Laplus can now collab with almost anyone she wants to, and Hololive pretty much guarantees thousands of viewers for JP/EN branch at any given time no matter what kind of content you're doing. She can go spam Valorant playing with VSPO girls or males and then have a 3D Live with tens of thousands of ojisans fantasizing how they're gonna correct her.
When she first started, I saw plenty of people that were saying she's gonna be the next Pekora, but it's obvious that's not what she wants. It's about time anons admit that as long as you're in Hololive, you're guaranteed to succeed regardless of how good or bad your content or personality are.
