They think playing a long series pigeon holes them into being "The MC streamer" or "the fighting game streamer" and filters people, cutting off the bigger goal, a wider audience for big numbers. I'm 100% sure some meetings with these girls have been done telling them just that. But at the end of the day, having fun is what brings people back, we know it, the girls know it, but analytics gets in people's heads when they don't see immediate results.
