Is Vshojo just a honeypot for rejected corpo livers? After they've collected a certain number of them, are they going to be betrayed and left for dead?

Also how would they betray them if the vtubers are keeping their IP?
All of the Vshojo vtubers could just walk away from vshojo if they wanted.

If anything it's probably an Ironmouse clique, as evident by silvervale's scathing comments about their relationship.

Mouse has a lot of influence there for sure, but to be fair to her, Silver's complaining was kinda retarded. Friendship is a 2 way street. Silver can't really complain that she hasn't spoken with Mouse in months and that Mouse is not reaching out to her when Silver could have been the one to reach out just as easily.

I think they are doing fairly good for the far lower cut they take than other orgs.
And talents can always invest most of their resources / money as they see fit, for example Ironmouse getting tons of outfits or Matara recently stating she wants to buy a house with her own 3D studio.

But to answer your question, no, because there's not really a mechanism for Vshojo to betray them. Vshojo doesn't own shit. They basically just take a merch split and offer some basic behind-the-scenes support in return. I'm pretty sure they don't even have exclusive merchandising rights.

Yes? Being able to have two organizations to work with to being able to work just in one to some (Nazuna and Veibae) and/or join a company within days (Silvervale and Nyanners) while keeping their IP and walk Scott-Free legally, they aren't being betrayed or left for dead by the COMPANY, creators aren't also obligated to not collab with them, they just choose not to for personal reasons, but there's nothing stopping them, other than having a vagina.

What would that even look like in reality? They are pretty hands off as it is compared to other corps.

Ghost them? Stop arranging sponsorships? Force them to sign new terms on their contracts to take a bigger cut? Sabotage the relationships between talents?
Seems a lot of them can just leave at the end of their contract if they don't like it and keep their assets. Maybe even sooner if management doesn't withhold their end of the contract like not paying them or something. The company doesn't seem like they hold that much power all things considered.

Unironically ghosting them or arranging them sponsorships also fucks them up, so they have no power in them by that. The contract part might be right, they probably did have written bigger cuts for the talents that barely did sponsors, but even that it's negotiable and/or a reason to leave and walk away normally. And as for relationships, they barely got a hand in there until last year, because most of the non corpo collabs were done by dm's and managers had no idea unless they were approached to, GEEGA and Matara pushed to use the collab channels because that pushes the managers to remind them instead of getting lost in dms. Even the Corpo collabs you could miss them if you wanted too, the last one they did before those 3 left, was missing Silvervale, Nazuna and Hime, with Vei in there while being high as shit

Mouse, Zen, and Geega are all in two talent agencies. Mouse and Zen with Vshojo and UTA, and Geega with Vshojo and MSM. Geega notably joined Vshojo after already being in MSM for a very long time. Vshojo is very hands off with what everyone does and who they team up with and get sponsorships with. They just help when they're asked from whenever the members talk about them.

Vshojo's existence is primarily in the negative space of the major vtuber orgs, which isn't a diss it's just the reality of it. They are defined by being !holo and !niji. You might make the same arguments for phase, but they are very much defining themselves more objectively than vshojo is.

More power to'em imo. I'm glad there was someone able to pick up the slack for the talents who were sick and tired of the bullshit.

It wasn't always like this
In the early days, Vshojo was a talent-first org with the bare minimum management infrastructure so that a group of girls who all liked each other could concentrate on talent and promote one another more via the network effect without having to worry about the shitty restrictive aspects of working for a corpa
Then the initial core group started to splinter over dumb shit, the managers wanted to grow the org but fucked up the auditions in a way that brought a ton of bad PR and worsened the splintering, and Vshojo chose to expand by bringing in a bunch of ex-corpo vtubers instead of western indies
Now they've relegated themselves to being the "I wonder if so-and-so will go Vshojo" punchline instead of having an identity in their own right in the public's eyes. It's sad because there are a lot of perks to the Vshojo model (less worry about perms, the talent can collab with whomever they like, if a streamer decides to quit they can keep their model and stream) and they have some great streamers who take advantage of those perks to make some great content, but the brand just has less of a recognizable identity than most of the other groups out there.

Zen was on the ground floor of EN vtubing, which means she was and is a big inspiration for many vtubers.
Furthermore, she's an absolute ride or die. Nothing will stand in her way if you need her help or support.
And finally, she's very extroverted and has made for herself a reputation of essentially breaking down your door for collabs, and she doesn't care about clout/size, content style or company. Her and Haruka are probably the two most well-connected vtubers in the business, arguably even more than Mouse.

Mouse's connections are extremely far-reaching, but she's mostly been branching outside of the traditional vtubing sphere.
