The delay was likely because they didn't have enough income to make merch for it (which Tempagpag resolved).
Dumb and dumber leaving didn't help, but that's more because the fags refused to do a graduation stream so Cover couldn't get those last chunks of money from them.
If anything, removing 2 3D models off the workload should improve the speed at which they get 3D, but Cover's objective is to keep the homo branch sustainable so that it's not in danger from investors, so they need all the cash they can get.

Very unlikely that the 3D will be used in that many other things, I think it's just to say "hey we did it" and maybe have the chance for more 3D stuff once Cover's main studio is fully staffed and they get some people for the old studio as well. Should take a year or two.

Homos don't have that many 3D programs even in JP, so EN will definitely never have it for a while considering the travel times and the general unwillingness of the males involved to sing and dance.
Hopefully that will set the reality in Yagoo's head once and for all that his male idols are just not gonna fly while still attached to the hip of Hololive.
