She seems to be doing things on her own so far, Fubuki talked for a bit in global chat when Okayu thanked her but that's pretty much it.
I knew she played offstream since she made a few tweets about Palworld, but had no idea she was still on the server until her little gift.
Also yes, I am indeed currently learning Japanese (although I admit that I've been quite lazy about it lately) and I honestly had no idea this was even possible. Yomichan has no issues reading these kanjis too so I never really noticed...

As long as it is actually Japanese text, Yomichan will scan it fine because it's only a display issue. CJK characters that aren't unique to one of the languages or substantially distinct enough to justify being different characters occupy the same space in Unicode and what you see depends on your settings. It's a mess of a system, and I think most things use Chinese by default. I'm by no means an expert, so maybe check this out, there is a table with some example comparisons. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CJK_Unified_Ideographs

What tipped me off in this case is that the 置 looked completely different from the Japanese version and the 今 has a little line in the middle of the triangle that the Japanese version of the character does not have. If you keep learning with the wrong display settings, you might not recognize some characters because you learned the wrong version. You should definitely memorize the differences of a couple of characters like 今 or 直 and use them to check that all your devices are properly configured.

Can confirm what this anon is saying. My browser is still using chink characters by default since I haven't gotten around to fixing it there, but it was brought to my attention some months ago so I at least fixed it in the yomichan pop-up and in anki.
I also did have cases where I was confused when trying to read certain characters as they appeared slightly differently in games, especially 直, though I did eventually get used to it. Have also heard from someone living in JP that some chinks have actually gotten marked wrong in college assignments because they end up using their chinese version of a kanji instead of the JP version. Sounds rough.
I should fix that right now I guess.

She left a little present in-game for Okayu like also she did yesterday and figured we'd like to see her reaction and redirected us. Pretty nice of her, Okayu's viewers roughly doubled after the redirect and a pretty large portion seems to have stuck around, Okayu seemed pretty happy.

Fubuki has tried this multiple times before (for events like costumes and lives I think) but it didn't work most of time, I think the receiving party needs to turn on a specific option or something. The one time I remember it working was for Kanata's anniversary utawaku recently and she specifically asked Kanata for her permission to do so beforehand and she seemed very grateful for it and welcomed all the Sukonbu. I guess with this feature being relatively new on YouTube, she doesn't really know if people are comfortable with it being used without advance warning, but knew Okayu wouldn't mind because they are close.
