If you want to get better at talking to girls IRL, I think it would be a good idea to get better at talking to all people better IRL. One thing I think might help is trying not to focus so much on getting the girl or other person to laugh right away. If you want a genuine relationship (not just dating, right?) you'll find the most success just being yourself. You won't impress every girl and that is normal. Just keep at it and things will fall into place.
