Her asking the pomucord to stay open was the piece that did it for me, assuming that's true. Whether it's indie or another corpo, a streamer's fanbase is literally their livelihood. It makes sense to not want to lose that. By keeping the pomucord open and activating her twitter immediately (didn't even take a break to relax), she maintains her hands on the reigns of her past audience. I don't blame her for it, it's not even a bad thing. It's just a smart business move.

Regarding the pomucord temporary shutdown, the admins have said it's to do "cleanup, reorganization, and maintenance". But the thing is, why would that be necessary and why would it take 2 weeks? What would be wrong with keeping the pomucord exactly the way it is as they've done all this week? Sure the busiest chat channel gets a bit too active every now and then when people are streaming and everyone is talking about it, but that's because it's a general nijisanji chat channel and it never becomes unusable. If she never came back, the server could function as is indefinitely until people start forgetting about Pomu.
