Funny thing that during WWI the Japanese were on the allied side and actually captured a German ship near the end of the war. Said German POWs became celebrities and even had their own drinking hall which helped spur interest in German culture moreso than other European powers. Not only did this help set up the next world war but it is also why they love still love having German motifs in damn near everything

By pure population numbers the spread mostly makes sense. Only oddity is nobody from the UK, though as said above there seems to be notably fewer UK vtubers in general. There's also Nigeria, but I'd think it's obvious why they shouldn't be counted.
