What if your general was not just a general but a nation, devoted to your oshi and their will? Enter this general where the fanbases and generals of /vt/ are reimagined as rival nations fighting bitter battles or beginning wholesome friendships for the glory of their oshis.

Bumping with a suggestion for the world name, or three:

Viti
Virtualia
Virtualis Tubernya

I'm leaning to Viti (pronounced vee-tee?). Just a simple name that says the acronym of the board.

>> No.67220397

>>67219424
Yes, its indeed pronounced like that.
The other two really were just alts cooked up on the spot.

This rough map isnt accurate anymore is it? I forget exactly what the discussion was but I saw a few other climate maps and general environmental stuff flying around.

Also, we should add vdriver to the OP if it hasnt already been in one of the archives

I did some more thinking about alpine farming. Due to temperature and less oxygen it'd be difficult to compost and mushroom farm. That said if you are lucky you can find a rock salt deposit easy. And due to the lower temperatures dry-aging meat will be easy. There's not a lot of building materials in the alpines outside of stone. And wood would have to be lumbered in lower forests. Even so you do have options for ore and coal mines.

I'm sort of confused on some of the glacial positions, though it might just be that not artic landmasses have been put on the map yet.
The westernmost and southernmost glacial territories seem like they should be alot warmer

I think the anon making the maps made a second version that had a more sensible icecap distribution, also that one doesn't have notAntarctica.

Nah, there's no way that much of the mountain plateaus are icecaps. They'd be cold deserts or tundras at most for the most part. If the planet is somewhat similar to current Earth at least.

I miss Delilah the baby mammoth. Anyway look up how the Great Plains are formed. During the ice age North America was a sandy desert. Then when the ice melted water steeped through the dunes to create the Ogallala Aquifer; a massive underwater network that is the source of almost all of the Great Plains' water. Without it the Great Plains would be a savannah at best.

kinda spec-bio question, but how would you imagine bio-engineering tackling the idea of creating an organism that can survive atmospheric reentry?
