Alright, if there are no big disagreements for the next half of a thread I guess we can start hammering out at least the climate and border maps into that shape. I think there was a problem with the low resolution of the Azgaar maps for generating a new biome map, but I think with that low res version I could pretty quickly draw a high res version onto the map by using it as a stencil.

The only thing I can think of is adding some more islands in the far oceans. I think the biggest they would grow is Japan-sized before another island is born. Maybe there's a few islands that would grow bigger than Japan but they are rare.

Well I think we'll have to figure out where the ring of fire is on the outside of the continents first. Ring of fire is where tectonic plates collide and break which releases magma that forms volcanoes. In theory the islands could be anywhere in the sea. Even floating islands that move around.

It’s called rufous striped bumblebee which is from Tibet but I can’t find much more information about them. They pollinate some species of saw-worts that have a warmer interior than the outside! I plan to borrow that idea for /vnug/ but the warmth might be even more significant due to magic and also allow honeybees to thrive in the highland

So good news. Alpine is not the end-all to farming at certain latitudes. The general rule is the higher you go the colder and less moisture your ground will get. It also goes without question that mountain soils are piss poor in nutrients due to lack of composting.

I do have some solutions. One is to import good soil from lower lands. As long as your altitude is low enough you can farm in the alpine meadows. Assuming you have an irrigation system that brings water up to the meadows that doesn't freeze. That said for food you're going to live off of mountain game more than vegetables. Yak and goat would be your ideal food sources that you can domesticate. Yak milk is very nutritious. You need to plan your grazing ground rotations. Yak hide is also warm and snug.
