Verified employee reviews at cover corp. Mostly 1-2 star reviews. Most complain of ungodly number of hours, bad conflict resolution, low pay, favoritism, and lack of direction.

Definitely a great company to work for.

>> No.67064007

>>67063859
But those are always skewed by people who had bad experiences. Because if you like your job, you don't waste your time writing reviews for it. So you have to take these with a grain of salt. How many of them just didn't have what it takes, couldn't measure up, cut the mustard etc etc? More importantly, did anyone else catch staff chan's fingers? Good shit.

Fair enough. I was projecting too much of what I remembered when first looking at jobs years ago. It was always stupid shit like
>didn't let me take as much vacation as I want
>got mad because my clothes were too casual in their office atmosphere
And so on. After reading shit like that, you know those public job boards are bullshit, because it boils down to the person fucking up.

If a talent doesn't have much activity the manager will also not have to do much because guess what? cover is fine with gura not streaming.
And a lot of complains seem to be about the quality of human resources, cover just went public last year and they are in a very unique business.
Atmost they will have 150-200 people who actually know how to do shit, because they have been working for the company for 5 years.
Cover needs to train people for a whole new subset of skills that isn't in much demand while it seems like Anycolour has just brought on people from adjusant industry like idols, movie production etc and these people are running Nijisanji to the ground.

Yagoo isn't going to shout at guras manager because she doesn't want to stream, not to mention given the nature of Hololives business giving leverage to the talents is the best way to make sure the brand doesn't fall apart.
It just takes half a dozen people leaving for the brand to start falling apart, just look at NijiEN.

The thing is that cover has 500 employees, it's wouldn't even be surprising if the work culture isn't too good considering the state cover is in, they are rapidly expanding so there is bound to be instability. couple that with the unique business cover is in they have to figure everything out on their own. which means playing a lot of guessing game and figuring out what an employee should do.
I see a lot of complains about "old employees and talents having too much power", no shit? They are the only once who know how to run the fucking business, a 40 year old who has worked in movies isn't going to know what the vtuber audiance wants.
Old employees and talents know the direction hololive is on and what makes it successful, a new employee being in charge will just mess shit up in presuit of profit.

The complaints are mostly ones I've heard at the startup I work for now - early employees have a lot of weight, there's inconsistent direction, random overtime when shit hits the fan, etc. That's just how successful startups are. For every person who burns out and writes an angry review on glassdoor there's another who does their best work under those conditions, but happy people don't write reviews.
It's also funny that a lot of the negative workplace reviews are for things that people on this board would consider positives, like talents having more authority than managers.
