I don't want to indulge the kuku schizos but at the same time I can't deny that I thought a lot about that whole drama shitshow while I was at work yesterday. My two cents on it is that he should've let those closest know what was going on, at least when it came time to start over. I understand the nature of the situation makes that difficult, but if you've gotta rip off that bandaid you may as well try doing it in a way that won't draw blood.

But really my take isn't based on the gender stuff, I know that's its own can of worms. I think it's based purely on my disdain for the idea of formally graduating as a small indie, as opposed to saying something like "oh I can't/don't want to stream anymore because of XYZ, I'll still be in your chats though so see you around." Unless you're going corpo and actually have to scrub shit clean, all you're really doing is ghosting your friends (viewer or vtuber alike). So if you reincarnate elsewhere, I can hardly blame them for feeling slighted.

That said it isn't like those people handled it well either. I can blame Kuku for refusing to contact them privately beforehand but I can just as easily blame them for not contacting him privately afterwards. Adults settle this shit behind closed doors, not by starting shouting matches on 4chan or throwing tantrums on twitter.

That all said I don't have any ill will towards either side, and hope this all becomes water under the bridge down the line. Or at the very least, if they can't reconcile things that they learn to simply move on.
