Cover songs get more views than original songs because they are multiple versions of them, ending up feeding into the youtube algorithm. I see this vsinger project and trying to do covers of holo original songs as trying to increase exposure to various holo songs and help boost the algorithm. It is a smart move by cover but whether it will succeed is still up for debate.

I guess being the Azki of EN, it would make sense to do an Azki song first. This will probably get more views than the original since the original has a little over 500,000 views after over 2 years. Also weird to see how the video themselves are different from each other. Azki's got videos of people walking while IRyS has an image of her which is standard for most vtuber MVs.

The cover was just okay. The first half wasn't that great. Might be a balancing issue with her voice and the background music like with what happened with the karaoke. Feels like she gets overshadowed by it. She does have a sharp finisher when she gets to the end of song lines. Her best part was when they dropped one of the musical accompaniments of the first half in the last third of it. This is where IRyS truly shines. Hopefully she'll bring that energy into the next 3 covers.

Not sure how you are suppose to do a cover without having direct comparisons. A cover is suppose to bring something new to the table that the original didn't. A new interpretation from another singer's perspective. If you sing it the same way as the original, then it's just karaoke.

This should be weird since the original Inochi has English subtitles as well as many other languages. Couldn't they transfer those subtitles to this one?

The cover was OK. I'm primarily a Pioneer, not a cumbud, so don't interpret this as >no soul posting, however, after the key change at 3:12, the song was lacking the typical emotional breakdown that should become audible in the singer's voice. Wouldn't say it's entirely absent, there is a change in intensity for sure, but it's not enough to push past Suisei's rendition.

I would rank this cover worse than Suisei but better than Watame.
