Everyone has been watching Hololive enough to know they'd only really terminate someone like this if the situation was really, really bad. And even in situations where it can't be helped, they typically give the talent a proper ceremonial graduation. Mel has a history of being amiable and typically problem-free. She's never been the center of any yabs and really this board only talks about her because she's hot, entertaining and talked about being
supposedly raped by a manager, but if this had any relevancy she would've been gone ages ago.

It's very uncharacteristic of Cover to terminate her suddenly without any warning. For instance, Coco was forced to graduate due to the situation (You) know very well, but she was given a proper long, ceremonial graduation that was pretty much unforgettable for anyone that follows Hololive. And remember, Mel is not Coco. Mel may never have been a massive number-bringer but she has a huge story with Cover, being part of gen 1 and essentially living through Hololive's initial climb to success and golden age. She's not just any talent. She was a fundamental building block of the agency that would later flourish into the biggest vtuber corporation there is.

So the question is, what happened? Mel had recently talked about future collabs so what could be massive enough to warrant the instant no negotiation termination of one of Hololive's oldest talents? Mel has never been malicious, despite falling behind number-wise she's always been caring for the new and old talents alike, helping the likes of Regloss when they were trying to pick up the pace.
