I'm so glad I refuse to join discords, I used to be such an angry person who could only think about everything in terms of politics and since I divorced myself from it, I've been infinitely happier

I need a reality check before putting more effort into this. I want to stream, mostly, fighting games. I'm ok at some of them and enjoy learning new ones. I also like talking about them. A lot of fighting game players seem to have just put on an avatar or webcam and streamed under their established name from being a competitor. Don't think I would want to do that myself, I'd prefer a new identity. I also want to play other games occasionally.
Main goal would be to chill, have more footage of some less played games and to show support for the ones I do play. (likely including a lot of uni2 once that comes out) I don't have ambitions of being successful at content creation and don't mind talking to myself if I'm left alone. I'd treat it as extension of fighting game hobby, more than anything else.

Am I completely out of touch thinking about all of this?
I know basics of blender and unity, enough to frankenstein something together. Is it enough at first to take a base 3d model off of booth, work on it and stream using that?
How bad of an idea is it to just start streaming and twitter at same time? I'd be ok with posting there a few times a day but don't want to sit on twitter for months before doing anything else, I just want to stream and chill.

I think the tier lists, provided that they're based on goofy topics like milk, water, or orange juice in their cereal, are harmless and fun. I don't really see the issue there. However, depending on the personality, reception/success based lists might be either encouraging or disheartening for chuubas. I think we should lift up the ones who need a little help in that regard, were they to continue. It's not that these people are inherently flawed more than any other person on earth, they just might need to change strategies to grow a little.

This depends a lot on the type of content you do, but in 99% of cases you'll have to get your toes wet with a bit of parasocialism, if you play co-op games have a redeem to play with you for a match or something, watch some movie/anime on discord, or just interact with them on twitter/discord or whatever other platform you use

Because everyone is at least vaguely aware of everyone else, it's very easy to get a chat going that is constant and people aren't scared of talking without fully understanding the culture. Usually in a stream that I'm not familiar with, I will lurk for a few hours to get a better idea of what's acceptable and what's not before I chat but with aspies, I know we all share similar internet culture so it's easier to chat even if I don't know the person
