I won't berate OP, if his first post is all true and she's been streaming since 2021 with single digit ccv, youtube wasn't gonna suddenly reccomend her unless she has a sudden viral moment.

The meta changes all the time, from ten minute videos, to cartoon content, to commentary, but as far as a few months ago, youtube was only boosting new channels, so she wasn't in a positive position for channel growth.

What you guys need to understand about doing shit like this to other newer, slowly growing chuubas it how cruel and disheartening it is to give them a taste of a big active fanbase only for it to rapidly slip through her fingers as she has no tools to keep a fickle foreign audience engaged.

How insecure they can feel thinking they had hundreds or even thousands of people watching and she could only retain a dozen. Even though it's not her fault at all, as these weren't people drawn to her content organically that fell out of interest but people looking for a quick feel good moment by "making her dreams come true" boosting her numbers with no long term interest.

Furthermore, the algorithm suddenly associates her with whichever region you guys come from, further distancing her from where she could actually find long term viewers seeking her type of content. And whoever does find her, could be scared off by an English chat. And she could also erroneously believe she should try to pander more to the foreigners as her channel shows growth among them due to the sudden boost, further alienating japanese fans.

In this context it's fine, as it's grown her subs towards the monetization threshold, so maybe this helps her more quickly reach it so she can engage monetarily with her fans, and it's not like the algorithm was boosting her in any region, so a sudden jolt could help generally, as her content and channel would naturally be boosted a bit towards JP anyways with sudden number growth, since she's in Japan, but the bulk of the algorithm will traget US.

Regardless, think twice before doing shit like this in the future, especially how mean-spirited it was done in the first post.

Thinking about it, it should be 3am in Japan right now. She streamed from 8-11pm today, with those times it's likely she has work. We kept her up on a work day excited for what are basically dead subs.
