Myth was an experiment, they were basically just winging it. It was lightning in a bottle. Council had to deal with Omega and had too many side things going on outside of hololive. Advent has the most support from management, bigger budget, and people who only have to focus on streaming.

If there have been huge contract fights over model redesigns and Cover made changes to their HoloEN policy than the previous gens are part of the reason that Advent is doing better than previous gens.

Tempus got into huge redesign fights because they believed their models were ugly. How do you think EN talents feel about coomerbait designs and stripper outfits? Gura refusing to stream does cost them money and is one of the few things she can do to encourage management to reach some type of contract deal with Ina and Kronii.

HoloEN must have a reason for why their contract renewals cause this amount of fighting. After the winter of 2021 things went downhill with "health" breaks and Sana's graduation. Council members have said that 2022 was a horrible year and things were falling apart so badly that Yagoo replaced the EN project manager.

With Myth, they cam in expecting ID-like numbers and rode the wave somewhat well but other than Gura never really capitalized on the casual audience.
Hope got fucked by being a solo act.
Council came in expecting the world and accepted mediocrety when they realized they could coast if they felt like it and still make more money than the average person with a respectable profession requiring a bachelors.
Advent saw exactly what happened over the course of 2022 and 2023 to those who didn't take an extremely active role in either reaching out for new viewers or working really hard to slow the loss of viewership.

While I can say that I don't watch her often, her streaming content is so out of the norm for EN and even Hololive as a whole. Her vlog videos are cute and I kinda like that there's someone making more currated content than always just streaming a ton (or very little at that). It takes time and effort to get footage, cut it all up, get it approved by management, do a voiceover on it, get that approved by management, and then hype it up for release.

Unironically because they're competing with each other and it works wonders. Bijou is a powerhouse, Shiori debuted powerful with that sex model, Fuwamoco has cult-like following, too.
You'd be surprised how well competition can egg you on to give your best when you're toe-to-toe with your genmates. Likewise you can see how trashy a gen becomes when people like Fubuki leave their own team in the dust.

It just works.
