My only suggestion that if you do decide to play it, try to follow the story. It might be an mmo but at the end of the day its still Final Fantasy. The story is the driving force for the game. People will tell you ARR has a bad story - these people are simply too small brain and don't understand. If you can get into the story you have what most people will tell you is one of the best video game stories out there. Even Preach, the biggest wowhead i can think of besides Bellular said that Shadowbringers is one of the best stories in a video game he's ever consumed.

Without question. It is the only game that I can consistently revisit a few specific cutscenes and cry to. It inadvertently changed my life. I think about the story and the cahracters in this game constantly. Also, if you're big into music - the music cues are insane. They really know how to weave some of the most important moments to a song that creates a permanent core defining memory of your brain. I know I'm speaking very highly and saying a lot of strong words but I can safely say that FF14 has been the best story experience I've ever consumed.

But I will reiterate, the base game of ARR is slow. It's primarily world building. It might feel like things are moving slow but keep in mind this game is over 10 years old now. There is so much story to experience and the story is insane. It really is that good. I could gush and gush and gush but I don't want to be that girl so I won't.

You have no idea how I am feeling right now knowing Elira is playing this game. And knowing she is at least following the story enough. I'm fiending on a level right now that can't be explained. Also, I don't know if you are a Ryuguard but Finana loves this game so do it for your oshi!~

Heavensward is when the story gets really really good and when most people get hooked. Yes but it's kind of gimmicky. You can replay specific cutscenes or you can do something called New Game+. NG+ sort of resets your game world back to that specific set of storyline and you can run through it all again. You won't get an XP but you can re-experience the story through gameplay instead of watching cutscenes back to back. I dunno if that makes sense or not. The gimmick part is that NG+ isn't available for everything and usually isn't added for the most current stuff it gets added later but everything up to like the absolute latest story content should be available in NG+ right now.

Considering Vshojo is a company now with actual workers in it besides just the streamers I highly doubt that since they need to make a profit somehow if only to be able to pay their other workers. Even not-for-profits/charities need to take a cut from donations to pay their employees anon.
And Twitch take 50% instead of 30% so you need to factor that in.
For reference that's like if Anycolor took 30%.
If we assume Anycolor work like most companies in the world and take 60-70% of your earnings instead (yes that's generally how much companies take in every industry) then it would 21-28% if she worked in Anycolor vs 15-20% if she worked in Vshojo (or if we assume they're running in massive deficit and only taking half the standard industry amount then 32.5-35%).
Even if we assume Vshojo take a smaller cut to incentivise moving I don't see them doing anything more than a 15-20% cut below standard since they do need money and 30-35% is just way too low for most companies. If they did that they would pay 23.75-27.5%.
Tldr: Anycolor likely pays you 21-28% factoring in the Youtube split and Vshojo likely pays you 23.75-27.5% factoring in the Twitch split.
Assuming the extremes that's maybe 21% vs 27.5%.
