This part is tricky. You have to use the gravity cannon in Brittle Hollow to reroute one of Hollow's Lantern rocks into the frozen jellyfish island right when the vortex throws it up, and then you can use the jellyfish carcass to enter the inside of Giant's Deep

She managed to do the quantum moon and the interloper in 1 episode. Meaning that the only optional thing left (besides WHS I guess) is hollow's lantern.

How the hearthians survived it is mostly a nice easter egg, knowing the details doesn't really matter because you can just assume that the primitive lifeforms in the system were sheltered enough that they didn't get hit by the ghost matter. Where, you repeatedly see in any place the Nomai lived, they were totally fucked up by it.
