I think people would care a lot more about the newer waves if they managed to come across as interesting at all. Yes, it is true that Nijisanji has a lot of people and you can typically find at least one person who has a streaming style you like, but it starts to feel very low quality when you see multiple waves so frequently and every single one of the new members is just a complete normalfag.

Yeah I'm gonna be even more blunt here and just say it straight up: The new waves aren't interesting. People praise those first 20 or so members because a lot of them were genuinely quality and they hit specific niches that people liked. Hell, to me, I still don't think there was anyone worth watching in the entire branch outside of Pomu and Elira. But I'm also not a girl, so maybe the guys were pretty great and I just never knew. The new waves, however? I don't think they did shit for anyone. They're all boring people. They're extremely normal people who became vtubers. That can fly in Japan where there's a lot of people into vtubers, but that's not gonna fly in the west/rest of the world where people just want to watch a select few.

They completely over saturated their own English branch with the most dull people imaginable. I don't care if it's mean or just outrageous to say, but yeah, of course people aren't gonna give a shit about branches 6-9. They don't stick out. Stuff like this can happen in Hololive too (Matsuri shitting on chammers, Pekora blaming Cover for cancelling a special project she wanted to do, Kronii and Calli's twitter meltdowns...). From the fans' POV it's pretty easy to tell the talent to just look away from the screen and stop being a retard, but being a content creator is an extremely stressful job and you need to be a ridiculously tough person to not let the negative comments affect you in some way.

The issue with the nijisanji EN management is that they couldn't care less about training and teaching the talents how they should engage their fans. The livers have always done whatever the fuck they wanted, and most of them didn't even have real jobs before their debuts, so they still behave like dumb fucking teenagers.

Pomu's OL skills are one of the biggest reasons why she has lasted this long.

There are a few gems in the recent waves but you have to click through the slop they're surrounded by to find them. Iluna has a couple pretty good chuubas, they just aren't good enough to average out the slop or live up to the hype. Xsoleil had a couple good ones too. Doppio is a entertaining person and already arranged some events and stuff, and people meme on Kotoka for being jp but she's an endurance autism streamer, really good singer, and does fun shit like cooking streams and is super involved with the community. All 3 of the newest all-male wave were decent hires too even despite the leaks and stuff, they should've gotten in before at least half of luxiem and noctyx.
