I have one that doesn't like being bothered much, but if you give him a finger, he'll lick it for a bit before chomping down just hard enough for it to hurt like an asshole. He just doesn't get that he needs to take it easy.

You don't have to eat healthy. It's all about calories. Regardless, you should still have a balanced diet.

When you are less physical, eat the more protein and veg and less carbs. In the Cane's example, you could still get the 5 finger meal, but swap the bread for another cole slaw or sauce.

Also don't fall for the "healthy food" cons in the grocery store. Check the ingredients and check the macros. Most of those brands are not actually healthier for you, and try to trick you with marketing terms like "Organic", "All Natural", "Gluten Free", "No Preservatives", "Keto", etc

That's bullshit, you can have artificial sweetner and seed oils. Just not an excess of them. Drink water, tea, fruit juice, etc but don't be freaked out if you're having a zero-cal treat or drink.

Seed oils are only a problem when they're repeatedly heated to high temperatures. Most of their health concerns are from restaurant use where the oils are reused and reheated, as well the food you're eating with seed oil are generally deep fried and full of complex carbs.
