Why is it so hard to understand that joining the biggest vtubing company in the world will give you more exposure and allow for a bigger number of people to come across your content? No matter how good you are, you're not going to get very far fast without exposure. It's why musicians try to get signed by record labels. It gives them the exposure to get their content out to the masses and allows for more potential fans to see their work. This is just how the entertainment industry works as a whole, it's not something unique to vtubing and cover.

Their streams started off with horrible audio balance, and thanking literally every single person that came into the stream for 1-2 minutes.
Their models were stiff as hell, and couldn't show off the wide range of motion and emotions that they are capable of.
They worked their ass off with those handicaps and got themselves a dedicated audience, but it's with their new identities, models and evolution into a true corpo mentality that their streams have become so much better.
Yet they haven't forgotten their roots either, and still do random shoutouts to their fans at the end of their morning show.
That balance is what makes or breaks a corporate VTuber.
Nerissa and Shiori lean too much into their 2view habits.
Diamond Dogs balance it much better.

They are among my favorite streamers. I like the banter they have with each other (Well, Fuwawa's banter with Mococo, really). I rarely watch streamers besides G*ra or Yugioh streamers but I've been tuning in to their Morning Shows. They are just the right length. Really enjoy their less perverted content. Pre-Advent overall our general leaning was holoEN was sliding into the dumpster falling on its sword trying to copy NijiEN for some reason (which never performed as well as it and is doing way-worse in large part from being obsessed with trying to own le yumes/fujos/unicorns). Even if Fuwamoco wasn't there the gen is still good overall so far but they are like the capstone crown piece for sure.

I've always hated holo side branchers because they were just regular e-thots larping with anime avatars. These girls are, as far as I have seen, "holo JP but in english".
As someone who speaks japanese these girls are the closest thing Cover has ever had to holo JP in any side branch (the closest and the only one to be frank). Cover literally managed to find western girls who self-groomed themselves into being otaku weirdos who learned japanese, play deranged eroge and like idols and their culture; and also are mindful of their fans and don't try to antagonize them.
