Depends on what you want to get out of it good for general artist styles and prompt cohesion (specifically for sex), if you want those probably the best model on local. If for general pretty pictures with beautiful sceneries and stuff you could find better.

It's a great model for sex and anatomy (hands and body compositions in sex) but finding good artist combos can be a huge hurdle to start genning good anime stuff. Tags are also very sensitive it feels like if you don't include some basic stuff it won't do it, like adding nipple tags even though the girl is nude so tag knowledge and experience is needed. I've also noticed tag order can also make a huge difference, I don't know the mechanics but I've seen if a tag is in front of other tags some tags will just be ignored so you gotta trial and error a ton.
So yeah, EF is very finicky and it's just the one model you can't really mix it with an anime model or use artist loras to tweak styles you gotta dig in there and find artist styles it knows and mix and match.
While there are hundreds of anime models in civitai and hundreds of artist style loras that you can bash and mix together. Main issue anime models has over EF is that you just gotta RNG hands a bit more, sex stuff is still good but it might take a few tries to get a composition as good as EF can pull off.

Is there any way to target a tag in a lora to emphasize it? I'm using EF+hll and i'm finding a lot of character loras that worked fine on NAI mixes only get about 80% there on hll. Like the skirt for example might not have the pattern the actual character wears. Is there any way to bring out the right features without cranking up the lora weight so much that it fries?

As for running at resolutions that it hasn't been trained on, that is the purpose of using hires fix (img2img on a lower resolution image) to avoid multiplication of images. if you try to gen straight up to a high resolution you will either get chimaeras, people standing on each other's shoulders or boxed generations like picrel.
If it's close, it will work fine, like 768x512 but 1024x512 will very often result in multiple images/subject/etc.
Landscape vs vertical will show that landscape creates prettier backgrounds but worse humans at least in anime models.
