I can confirm vtubestudio works perfectly in linux, just change the setting in steam to allow steamos-emulation for all titles so it can boot. I forgot the exact name of the setting, but it's easy to find and enable.

Also, I don't think it's really as good as the other options, but "vpuppr" is a fully open-source 3D animator for vtubing that basically works. You just need a vrm file.

I feel like one of the more lower quality asps. I'm just way too plain and need to think of something to set me apart from others.

Thanks for your compliment! Unfortunately I hate my voice and always have, even if people compliment it I think only 5% would actually like it, 95% would find it too awful or annoying or whatever.

My main issue is coming up with a design that is good yet memorable, because yes it would go down the PNG route for the foreseeable. My dream isn't for a Live2D model (they are so expensive and I just don't have that) but for a good VRoid. Because I want to remember the good old days of VTubing, the days that I should have just tried being one myself.

I don't even have a name I can use right now, because again I want one that people just remember and know who they are on about. Like everyone knows Lavandel / Lava, right? It's so memorable.

I'll answer as a fan despite our relations

Pros: charismatic, charming, a people pleaser, a hard worker, pleasing voice, pleasing zatsus, very social, is endearing,engaging, doesnt have dead air moments, can varie between energetic an chill, amazing vocal range as well as singing. (there might be more but I might forget)

Cons: the fucking cpu sometimes fucking the mic up (FIX IT), overworks himself, is doubting his capacities, a people pleaser, still has a hard time to apply his boudaries (please dont do the raid song again, you actually lost the raiders when you did that BUT you are doing much more better in that regard), doesnt use twitter enough to farm there, should probably advertise himself more (not necesserly here but on twitter)

What I wish to see more from him: Twitter content that is related to vtubing and not just miladys memes or shitposts even if they are giggle material, perhaps for new year start doing clips again (maybe with the help of someone, it is time consuming), more singing (You hate your own singing but I think it's one of the best /here/ for what ive heard, would also help you become the "idol" you wanted to be), experiments (like the reading part for the christmas stream was actually entertaining, and i'm sure you can do more ludique ideas AND DONT LOOK AT THE NUMBERS), also to use shortcuts let it be your expressions or your voice changer (don't invest on a steamdeck yet, use what you have) and honestly many other things but those would be good luck wishes.

IF (You) ARE A VIEWER: I would recommend watching him, yes there are rrats here and there but his content is of quality and he is trying his best to deliever the best experience to you, let it be as a live viewer or a vod watcher. I tried this at the beginning and found it to be a time sink that didn't pay off. Having to rewatch hours and hours of my streams kept me from being productive elsewhere and I almost got burnt out from it. Hyde's got the clip thing down and does pretty well getting views there, but I've noticed it doesn't translate into active viewers, as consumers of short form content don't watch streams. I have looked into hiring an editor because monthly highlight videos are something I think would be good, but that would be an expense I can't afford right now.
