I'm in EST and I have work an hour after adjustment time, so I'm up anyway. The adjustment doesn't hurt me and has arguably helped my sleep schedule. That said, most other NA timezones are progressively more fucked. West Coast has to be up by 6 AM. EU is firmly in the middle of the workday.

I think it is, actually. Let's assume the old time (1:05a ET) is the earliest we can reasonbly have the adjustment. That is a time gap of 6 hours at most. This is assuming the numbers process on time. We know Susan's bad about that.
With the current adjustment, it is 14 hours between HOUR NINTEEN and Adjustment, which is ample time for a wide variety of time zones to wake up, get informed, and make good decisions without having to no-life the game. Could that window be smaller without overinflating one or more time zones' importance? Maybe. If you pulled it back to 7a ET you'd be covering 12 hours, but remember that this is a MAXIMUM. Numbers could be verified at fucking midnight ET. The 14-hour window ensures the maximum number of players can reasonably play without damaging their sleep patterns too much. I'm not an economist, but I have played a lot of MMOs. In large-scale games with player-driven economies, you want to encourage as much stuff moving as possible, so that the game doesn't get stagnant or overinflated from people sitting on investments. A good way to get cash moving is to encourage a larger playerbase, and wide time zone accessibility is a good way to expand your playerbase without having to resort to posting codes on Reddit and what-not.

tl;dr: H19 to Adjustment time gap is a necessary evil that is helping the game way more than you autists are probably giving it credit for.

That was always part of the fun (or work depending on how you view it) to me, now scrapers do most of it for you and are more reliable. This is another problem with the new adjustment time, streams are already happening/finished already so decision making on what coin to buy is really easy. With old adjustment time you had to check twitter/schedules to see if they were going to stream or not and if they announced what game they were going to play you could also check their archives/other holo's archives on how the game performed and speculate if it was going to be a big stream.
