Speaking whispering is just mouth sounds but within TOS.

I hate whispering but I like soft talking.

My favorite thing is sniffing but almost no one does it often enough and if they do it's not that good as some.

I feel like a lot of people literally cannot sense it and it's like how when kids are trying weed they go "yeah maaan I totally feel it!!" even when they're not high at all. It's indescribable, you know if you have it because it just puts you in kind of a trance where you don't even want to blink or move or the feeling instantly vanishes. I first noticed it as a little kid and I had no idea what it was for the longest time and thought it was just a quirk and was happy to find out it actually-has a name - but the thing is it seems tons of people assume it is some sex thing because certain voices can trigger it (including dudes actually, FYI) so people who don't sense it think it's just some shit for coomers when nah it's not sexual in the slightest.

The whole category of girls doing it thinking "if I just buy this really expensive mic I now have an ASMR voice" is just the blind leading the blind, you really don't need vtubers or girls talking to experience it. And even then, IMO you wouldn't want to purposefully seek it out all the time because it kind of gets numbing and not so interesting if you just spam it on yourself.

Generally like soft talking and object sounds like water, bubbles, brushes, crinkling, etc.
Not as much into whispering because whisper voices generally sound pretty similar to me.
That said I've not yet heard someone top what Aki does at around 9:30 here.

I don't like ASMR. Completely indifferent. Even when my oshi has done it, I just tuned in to listen to her but it didn't do anything for me.

I just can't relax when listening. I am incapable of actually putting down my guard and immerse myself which is necessary.

Everything they said was correct. The best way I've seen ASMR described is it's the brain's g-spot getting stimulated. Some sounds or combination of sounds can tickle a 'spot' in your brain which often triggers a physical sensation, similar to pins and needles but pleasant. It's almost like your brain goes schizo for it doesn't know how to handle the intense auditory stimulation, so it puts you into a mild trance and you don't want to move or distract yourself for it will pull the brain's attention away from the nice feelings.

Right on anon, I've been getting into sniffing asmr more and more. I can suggest a few chuubas.
Kat
Sulkycats
Lillyvannily
Zephyr UwU
These girls do quite a bit of sniffing related content.

I like speaking, but not whispering.
I like object, and background noises, but not earpicks.
Mouth sounds are always good.
And as a bonus, I really like the sounds of hair/nail cutting, and oily hands.

Belly noises are also nice.

Shower/water sounds are some of my fav trigger noises
Same for hair cutting asmr it just relaxes me and reminds me of cute women cutting my long as fuck hair while running thier fingers through it.
Ear picking can be alright but mostly is way too aggressive for me to really enjoy.

I prefer Mouth Moods. It's got Bustin, Wallspin, Wow Wow, and Smooth. All classics.
Mouth Sounds is still pretty good, though.

True. The vast majority of the vtuber community has no fucking clue about ASMR, especially the creators. Exactly as you said, the blind leading the blind. Really, the ASMR community has always had this issue of it being misunderstood and occasionally maligned by those who don't feel it or have not bothered to try and understand it. It has always had a lewd stigma, thanks to creators like Hungry Lips in the early days and more recent things like the "ear licking meta" on Twitch and Noel (and her copycats), which is just softcore porn that may or may not contain sincere attempts to trigger the viewer's ASMR. Noel's ASMR content on her main channel is excluded because it is sincerely created and legitimately good.

The viewers often don't know anything about ASMR either, so they ask for things like kisses and heartbeat; GFE heavy sounds that aren't good for ASMR. You can tell the creators that have made ASMR correctly (intentional through research or personal experience, or stumbled into it) by videos that attract an unusually high number of VOD views. That's the ASMR community finding legitimately good content that's worth watching and rewatching.

Yup, most vtubers just have no idea, about making proper ASMR
All they know, is that it's something to make you relaxed, or to make you cum.

That's why it's often better, to look outside the vtubing circles, to find some proper triggers.

Spoken feels like a lazy zatsu, which is ok, I guess.
Why would I want to hear object sounds on a chuba stream? If I want to hear object sounds, it means I want to hear object sounds, not object sounds mixed with chuba's voice. Unless she is somehow beatboxing or otherwise imitating these sounds, like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bgubx2EaVL8 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h72cgHT4imE
Whispering, kissing, heartbeat, gf or wife roleplay, etc. is too much for me, and I feel my dignity slipping away as I listen to them. So I tend to avoid these ASMR (and also more often than not avoid chubas that make them).
The last ones I more or less enjoyed were
Hime chewing on cardboard https://youtu.be/244JG2wovcw?t=920
Ollie counting π https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIxAjhF22VA
Mumei noises compilations are also cute
