Being a big indie is hard yeah and the JP corpo experience has a tendency to lead people into a sort of imposter syndrome. Suddenly making it big just because your name got attached to a brand makes it all the harder to feel like you can leave and carry that success with you when that brand is stripped away. Nina talked a lot about it and how hard it was for her to make that decision. Doesn't matter how nonsensical it is because obviously a huge portion of your audience is going to be able to find you, it's just something mental. That being said, this clash with management is a bit much. Her other issues kind of feel a lot more easy to just gloss over by comparison. Only thing that comes close imo is having to fight tooth and nail to compensate the winner of a contest, and even if she won that battle it's not a fight that should have been had in the first place. But outright removing a tribute both to and from fans on Christmas of all fucking days is beyond the pale. That's not something that's so easily forgiven and it's telling that her immediate reaction was just not wanting all that time and effort and appreciation to go to waste by openly inviting everyone to reupload it.

I don't know what's going to happen, and I've never once truly bought into constant rrats about her graduation being near until this one. If it had been stopped almost any step along the way it wouldn't have meant as much, but having released the song and seeing people's love for it start coming in only to cut that off is just fucked up. And now it's kind of tainted since even on a lot of the reuploads the discussion is leaning more towards anger at the company and less at appreciation for the song.

Nina said she decided to graduate end of May, so assuming she started the process for Matara around then, she still didn't debut until the the middle of October. Management has been limiting Selen's actions because she will do their job for them (asking for perms like for the coffee cover) which might rub them the wrong way especially if they're trying to not prioritize Selen. Selen has organized more tournaments than most which puts her in the spotlight. Niji probably wanted others to get a chance at organizing events which I get. But with the TSB tournament. Only Selen could have done it as she's in TSB. In fact, she pretty much did ALL the work for the tournament other than Axel asking for participants in Holo and translating rules. Niji management salivated at the opportunity so gave Selen the okay.

In Vsaikyo, Selen was clearly the more experienced player with much better game sense than Axel or Altare in TSB. However, Axel was IGL (in-game leader) and the one who invited Selen and Altare so he was suppose to make the decisions. It would be a bit awkward to become IGL and sideline Axel, the person who was personally invited into the Vsaikyo tournament.

It should be fairly obvious that there are plenty of issues with management. And they force their livers to cover up for them. Selen is not the type to put up with that shit and will put them on blast if need be.

Don't get me wrong. Management is flat out incompetent at times but I also can easily see how a project with over 16 different artists might be missing the fully written consent of 1 or 2 people. It'd be really easy to gloss over, especially if you thought you had everyone already. She keeps track of a lot of things on a day to day basis, we all know how busy she is. It's not hard to believe that she just didn't get the express permission of one or two people

And as far as IGL goes. I don't disagree that she had better game sense, which is why she was offered the position. The fact that she declined the position only to later on say that someone she talked to reviewed her footage and said she should have been igl, kinda sucks because she was the one responsible for her not being the igl.
